Nowadays spring is around here and this is the best season for visiting Turkey. You can feel the rhythm of people who are enjoying their daily routine under the sunshine. Going to the parks can be a good alternative for locals and foreigners. I’ll tell you some famous parks and gardens of Istanbul:
This is really a good area for jogging and photoshooting. It is easy accessible by locating in Besiktas. For example; after your Dolmabahce Palace Tour, you can choose this spot as your next direction. There you may see many kinds and colours of flowers. And there is a small pond with swans swimming in it.
This is again easy to go as it is located just behind of Topkapi Palace in Sultanahmet, old town. Especially, during the Tulip Festival, this park is so colorful and full of people. When you get in the door from Sultanahmet side, you’ll take the way through the Sarayburnu inside the park and you’ll reach a stunning view of Marmarion sea. There is a café serving tea with samovar (tea-urn).
This hill takes place on the other side of the city, Asian side. You’ll see the Bosphorus from another point of view. As many parts of Istanbul, this hill had been the inspiration of the artists, novelists and poets during the history.
This is again on Asian side, Kadikoy. You may take the ferry to Kadikoy from Eminonu, Karakoy, Kabatas or Besiktas… No matter where you are, you can take the ferry :) And then Moda is 15-20 minutes walking distance. Moda is a cozy neighbourhood of Kadikoy. There you can see many people hanging around, tasting the famous ice cream or waffle. Moda parki is a place where you'll seize the day by watching sea and if you’re lucky, you may see the sail boats.
