The Cappadocia region hosts many important sites from the Byzantine and Ottoman periods, which are often missed by tourists. On this tour, we will be very happy to take you to the off-the-beaten path and show you churches and an underground city which is not visited by any tourists at all. Our tour will start with visiting the Cavusin monastic complex which houses the first church built in the region. Our next stop is St John Church in Gulsehir City which hosts amazing art in the form of frescoes from the late Byzantine era. We will then drive to the city of Nevsehir which is the home of Damat Ibrahim Pasha who built a beautiful Kulliya to his motherland. The Kulliya is a big complex of a mosque, madrasa, soup house, library, Turkish bath and a caravanserai. We will have lunch in Nevsehir city before driving to Tatlarin village to visit the least-visited underground city of Cappadocia. Turkish coffee in the village of Tatlarin is recommended before getting back to your hotel.
