Day 1 - .
Istanbul may be recognized for the historical monuments and is located on top of two continents. Still, the city has always been the melting pot of civilizations, cultures, history, and arts. Since East and West literally meet in Istanbul, many galleries are opening day by day in Istanbul to satisfy the tourist and the city's sophisticated locals. The most important one among them is the Istanbul Modern and Pera Museum. Beyoglu Street, which is very close to the Pera museum, frequently hosts galleries of Contemporary arts, and we will be updating your itinerary before booking this tour. This trip's highlight will be the Museum of Innocence, a novel by Orhan Pamuk, a Nobel-laureate Turkish novelist published on August 29, 2008. The book accounts for the love between a wealthy businessman Kemal and a poorer distant relation Fusun from 1975 to 1984 in Istanbul. Pamuk has established an actual "Museum of Innocence," based on the house described in the book and displays a collection evocative of Istanbul's everyday life and culture during the period in which the novel is set. You will return to your hotel after visiting this less touristy museum.
